About us
Karen Richmond is Course Director for the BA hons in 3D Design at Camberwell College of Arts, (University of the Arts London).Karen studied sculpture at Kingston University and went on to complete an MA in Design Products at the Royal College of Art in 2000.Within her practice and research Karen makes objects that question the role of design and has worked on projects with The Royal Festival Hall, Tate Modern and Flour.
Maiko Tsutsumi is Subject Leader for MA Designer Maker, Camberwell College of Arts, and also works as a designer at Tomoko Azumi’s t.n.a. design studio. Maiko studied and apprenticed in furniture making and Japanese lacquer work in Kyoto before moving to the UK to study furniture design at the Royal College of Art. She completed her practice based PhD The Poetics of Everyday Objects at Kingston University in 2007.
